☆I gave her subtle veining, bluish undertones where the skin is thinner and more transparent. Iris has many layers of cured paint to give a real depth to her skin.

☆I tediously micro-rooted a full head of dark brown Mohair. She has a realistic amount of hair for a year old baby and you’ll to be able to change the style a bit with different barrettes and bows.

☆I use no sand in the weighting of my babies so they’re ready for overseas travel. I weight my babies with tiny glass beads, doll pellets and I use a quality polyfil to fill in.

☆I buy T shirt material, sew bags to fill with glass beads for weighting my babies. For this baby I used one large bag in the body and one small bag for the head. Her limbs are filled partially with glass beads and topped with Polyfil for the perfect weight. Each limb and bag is weighed as I’m putting her together so her weight is balanced and she feels as real I can possibly make her. I give as much care to the inside of my babies as I do the outside.

☆Iris wears mostly 12 month sizes although her little dress is nine months and the play set is an 18 month size. The best thing to do, I found out after having to return the first outfit I bought for her….is to measure her and shop with the measurements. Both pairs of shoes are size 4.

☆A pretty bracelet made just for her with Swarovski beads and crystals.

☆I always ship the next business day after payment, with the exception of holidays.

☆All my babies are from a smoke free nursery

I try to take all my pictures in natural light, weather withstanding. I don’t enhance my pictures in any way except to occasionally lighten a dark picture, adding my Nursery name and sometimes different decorative edges to frame the pictures. Her pictures are very true to color on my monitor but might vary a bit from monitor to monitor.

Baby Nails

For her little fingers and toenails, I’ve given her very soft, ivory colored tips and sealed them with a satin finish, to look like freshly clipped nails.

Her Nose and Mouth

Iris’s nose was opened and backed with dark felt for realism. Her lips were colored in several layers of color for more depth.

Eyelashes, Eyebrows and Eyes

I’ve given Iris hand applied brown lashes and painted her eyebrows in a shade to match her hair. Her eyes are a gorgeous dark blue, German mouth blown glass eyes. I gave her a bit of a wet eye look that gives her plenty of realism.

What Iris is wearing and bringing home with her

In some of Iris’s pictures she’s wearing a sweet pink and white pre-owned Kissy-Kissy dress and diaper cover. On her feet she’s wearing a pair of European, pink and white hightop shoes and a pair of pretty pink socks. I made her a cute pink bow for her hair.

In other photos she’s wearing a darling, brightly colored play set by Starting Out and big bow for her hair. On her feet she’s wearing a pair of cute sandals that match the outfit and bow perfectly.

She’ll come with a disposable diaper.

Iris will bring her bracelet, two bows, a custom Birth Certificate, care sheet and a 4X6 digital portrait inside a purse size photo album. All will be packed inside a gift bag.

How about this big table I get to sit at all by myself.

Birth Certificate

All my babies come with custom birth certificates with their first picture, the date of birth, weight and length will be filled in but the name space can be left blank so the new Parents can give baby a different name if they like. I will also sign each certificate, as the Reborn artist.

Shipping

I ship my babies, fully insured, and new shipping materials to make sure they have a very safe trip. I try to make opening their box a pleasurable experience for the new Mommy

This baby doll has been transformed from a child’s a wonderful Adult collectible baby and is not recommended for small children because of the delicate nature of the reborning process.

I’m in my eleventh year of Reborning now and I want you to know that I take great pride and have so much passion for this incredible art.
