Let me introduce you to this adorable baby Girl, Lila, by Romie Strydom, Reborned by me [Debbie].

☆  Doe- suede body that was made especially for her [I took the length of the body up one inch because I felt the longer body made her legs look too short. I think she looks perfect now without that extra inch on her torso.

 

☆ Lovingly Reborned using permanent, non fading Genesis paints.

 

☆ I gave her subtle veining, bluish undertones where the skin is thinner and more transparent. Lila has many layers of cured paint to give a real depth to her skin.

 

 

☆ Carefully painted baby hair around the sides and bottom back and then rooted with a beautiful dark blonde Mohair from Joanna at Pitterpatter babies.

 

☆ I use no sand in the weighting of my babies so they're ready for overseas travel. I weight my babies with tiny glass beads and use a quality polyfil to fill in.

 

☆ I buy T shirt material, sew bags and fill with glass beads for weighting my babies. For this baby I used one large bag in the body and one small bag for the head. Her limbs are filled partially with glass beads and topped with Polyfil for the perfect weight. Each limb and bag is weighed as I'm putting her together so her weight is balanced and she feels as real I can possibly make her. I give as much care to the inside of my babies as I do the outside. Lila is perfectly weighted and she's a dream to hold.

 

☆ Lila wears 0-3 month or three month sizes and her feet are 4 inches, size 1.

☆A pretty bracelet made just for her with Swarovski beads and crystals.

☆ Magnetic Pacifier [magnet covered with soft material as not to scratch the paint on her mouth]

☆All my babies are from a smoke free nursery

Lila’s pictures were taken in the Nursery under professional lighting. I don’t enhance my pictures in any way except to occasionally lighten a dark picture, adding my Nursery name and sometimes different decorative edges to frame the pictures. Her pictures are very true to color on my monitor but might vary a bit from monitor to monitor.

Baby Nails

For her little fingers and toenails, I’ve given her very soft, ivory colored tips and sealed them with a satin finish, to look like freshly clipped newborn nails.

Her Nose and Mouth

Lila’s nose was opened and backed with dark felt for realism. Her lips were colored in several layers of transparent color for more depth. 

Eyelashes and Eyebrows

I’ve given her hand applied medium brown lashes with painted bottom lashes and painted eyebrows in a shade to match her hair.

Here’s a list of the different clothing and accessories Lila will be wearing and bring home with her.

1. A sweet pink fuzzy romper with a pink and brown print onesie underneath, by KRU. Hand knit white and pink booties with white socks underneath.

2. A cute white sleeper set, comes with a matching hat [not shown] and a yellow and white receiving blanket, by Carter.

3. A white short sleeve, side-snap undershirt by Carter and a disposable diaper.

She will bring an extra diaper, her bracelet, magnetic pacifier, a custom Birth Certificate, care sheet and a 4X6 digital portrait inside a purse size photo album. All will be packed inside a gift bag.

Birth Certificate

All my babies come with custom birth certificates with their first picture. The date of birth, weight and length will be filled in but the name space can be left blank so the new Mommy can give baby a different name if they like. I will also sign each certificate, as the Reborn artist.

Shipping

I ship my babies,  fully insured, and with new shipping materials to make sure they have a very safe trip. I try to make opening their box a pleasurable experience for the new Mommy

This baby doll has been transformed from a child’s a wonderful Adult collectible baby and is not recommended for small children because of the delicate nature of the reborning process.

I’m in my eleventh year of Reborning now and I want you to know that I take great pride and have so much passion for this incredible art. I don’t cut corners, I use the highest quality product I can find and am always looking for ways to improve my skills and the products I use in this process. Reborning has come a long way over these last years, it’s much more perfected now and many more People are becoming involved with the art. It’s been an amazing time for me and hopefully there will be many more years to come.
